Automated driving functions have the potential to significantly reduce the risk and severity of
road traffic accidents [1, 2]. However, in order to ensure reliable and safe operation under all
potential circumstances, it is vital to understand the possible dynamics that the controlled
vehicle might exhibit. This thesis aims to provide a comprehensive global picture of the
nonlinear dynamics of the path-following control of passenger cars with feedback delay.
Abstract
