Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is predominantly an airborne disease. However, quantitative
and qualitative analysis of bio-aerosols containing the aetiological agent, Mycobacterium
tuberculosis (Mtb), has proven very challenging. Our objective is to sample bio-aerosols
