The study assessed the determinants of water, sanitation and hygiene related morbidity among primary school children in Mathare slums in order to make suggestions on how to alleviate these constraints as a way of alleviating child morbidity in the slum. The discussion centres on the findings regarding the prevalence of WASH related morbidity among school going children, hygiene practices prevalent in school going children that determine WASH morbidity, the level of Knowledge related to WASH morbidity among school going children and institutional factors related to WASH morbidity in primary schools.
This section relates the qualitative and quantitative findings of the study and interprets them according to the literature reviewed and according to the researcher‘s observations. The outcomes are further compared with other similar or differing studies. This chapter also consists of the conclusion and the researcher‘s recommendations.
