The amplification factor transport model for laminar-turbulent transition is implemented
within HPCMP CREATE™-AV Kestrel Component COFFE. Simulations are carried out for a
variety of two-and threedimensional flows featuring laminar-turbulent transition. Results are
presented to establish a baseline assessment of the current predictive capability for
transition modeling within COFFE and to facilitate discussion of strategies and best practices
for performing transitional flow simulations.
