Drug addiction is a lifestyle disease and in recent times it has become a macro-cosmic convivial and public health quandary. Drug addiction is a major problem in every country nowadays, and the number of drug addicts is increasing day by day. In recent years, India has seen a rising trend in drug addiction and Punjab is one of the biggest concerns today. Mostly youth and juveniles of Punjab are engaged in drug addiction. This survey aims to determine the psychological effects of drug addiction among youth. This survey was conducted on 100 adolescents and young adults (11-25 years) from different districts of Punjab, there are lots of rehabilitation Centres and a lot of patients are admitted there. So, a formal way to communicate with the people was a questionnaire to ask the questions from the drug addicts, which contains thirty questions. Mostly used drugs in Punjab are heroin (Chitta) followed by cocaine and opiates. The 13 to 18-year age group was the most affected age group, suffering from the problems of drugs and they are severely affected by drugs. The project was commenced on one and the only goal, to detect the psychological effects of drugs on young adults. The rehabilitation centers are almost full of people in recent times as the drugs are spreading like wildfire. The observation of this survey is that Punjab is a hub of the drug.
