Materials and methods: We equipped a Resusci-Anne manikin with a displacement sensor
for depth reference. Five volunteers provided continuous chest compressions during one
minute episodes at different target rates (80, 100 and 120 cpm) and depths (35 and 50 mm),
with the sensor placed in two different positions. In the first one, the tri-axial accelerometer
was fixed with an elastic band to the back of the hand. In the second one, it was fixed to the
