The article evaluates the reliability and validity of standardized tests used to diagnose
central auditory processing disorders. Such disorders are defined as difficulties in the
processing of auditory information in the central nervous system manifested by poor
performance in one or more skills. It is said that assessment of test validity shows strengths
in aspects of test administration and flaws in various aspects of reliability and validity.
