The term small-fiber neuropathy (SFN) refers to the type of polyneuropathies that
preferentially damage the small unmyelinated and thinly myelinated sensory or autonomic
neurons [1]. Skin biopsy to determine the epidermal nerve-fiber density (ENFD) is the most
