PURPOSE: The aims of this study were to assess the feasibility of cardiopulmonary exercise
testing (CPET) for the early assessment of cardiorespiratory fitness in general adult intensive
care unit (ICU) survivors and to characterize the pathophysiology of exercise limitation in this
