The present study is designed to examine the effect of environmental noises in the
asymptotic properties of a stochastic Gilpin–Ayala model on patches under regime
switching. The Gilpin–Ayala parameter is also allowed to switch. Sufficient conditions for
extinction and persistence of species are established.
