Previously we represented molecular model of collagen triple helix–DNA double helix
complex [GM Mrevlishvili, DV Svintradze, Int. J. Macromol. 36 (2005) 324–326; GM
Mrevlishvili, DV Svintradze, Int. J. Macromol. 35 (2005) 243–245]. We also proved that
during the complex formation hydration of triple helix destroys and forms new water bridges
maintaining the complex nano-structure. In this paper we demonstrate that small interfering
RNA binds to atelocollagen directly to form siRNA–atelocollagen fiber complex.
