Castanopsis argentea (Blume) A. DC., commonly known as saninten, is an endangered
evergreen tree species native to Sumatra and Java Islands, Indonesia. This study was
carried out to assess the genetic diversity of C. argentea in Mount Gede Pangrango National
Park (MGPNP) based on random amplified polymorphic DNA markers. The samples of C.
