Peninsular Malaysia was investigated. To this aim, seventy-five samples from the Kroh black
shales were analyzed to identify their geochemical and mineralogical composition using X-
ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF), respectively. XRD results showed that
