We analyzed the geographic pattern of body size variation in five species belonging to the
subgenera Leptocarabus and Adelocarabus in the genus Leptocarabus (Coleoptera,
Carabidae) in the Japanese Archipelago. Except for L.(L.) hiurai in Shikoku, these species
