Growth of high quality YBa2Cu3O7 films on various substrate materials and influence of Zn-doping on superconductivity

By DC-sputtering from a single stoichiometric target we prepared high quality YBa 2 Cu 3 O
7 thin films on SrTiO 3, LaGaO 3, ZrO 2, MgO and NdAlCaO 4. All films sputtered on these
substrates (except NdAlCaO 4) showed narrow inductive transitions (ΔT c< 2K) and high-T c
(> 86 K), but only on LaGaO 3 the transition was as sharp (width< 0.5 K) and T c as high (90
K) as on SrTiO 3. The superior quality of LaGaO 3 and SrTiO 3 was also confirmed by X-ray
