The overarching goal of this research was to create innovations in the field of separations by
developing 'fiber sorbents' for on-site hydrogen generation applications. Specifically, this
work was focused on the removal of sulfur impurities from pipeline natural gas. Knowledge
from membrane science and adsorption technology was drawn upon extensively to enable
this new technology.
