In this article the formation of jets by means of the implosion of conical targets is analyzed.
This implosion might be induced by high intensity lasers or X rays. It is known of experiments
with explosive and numeric simulations that the formation of jets depends critically on the
aperture of the cone. It is found in these simulations that for a given collapsing speed an
angle of the cone exists below which jet doesn't take place. This critical angle grows with the
