Sažetak As a follow up of the study'Bilingualism and emotions'(Dewale & Pavlenko, 2001,
2003), this research-conducted among the students of English at the Universities of Rijeka
and Trieste-shows a twofold correlation between language and identity: 1) in terms of the
subjective perception of the personality of the speaker based on the language spoken; 2) in
terms of this perception and the psychological profile of the language user.
