Mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, have become an essential part of day-to-day human life as use of these devices is increased so fast in recent years. Additionally, these days, the Smartphone has turned into the need to store sensitive, personal and confidential information, and these elements fascinate the malware developer community towards these smart devices. Nowadays, sophisticated malware techniques acquire enough information from mobile applications without the knowledge of the users by gaining necessary permissions during the installation of mobile applications. Therefore, it is essential to design an effective solution to analyse and detect the severity of the threats present in these devices. In this paper, we have implemented the signature-based scheme for scanning the applications in the mobile devices that are installed through legal market store or from the third party market and rates such applications as high, medium, and safe applications by analysing the permissions used by such applications to detect known malware using the signature data set. The proposed framework can be made more powerful with the use of recent signature based dataset to detect the zero-day malware and might be extremely useful for the community. They don't need to worry about which antivirus they should install on their devices. Our application will provide them all the vital information about the applications on their devices and the sort of risk associated with each and every application at a single place to get over from the threats that may like to leak the valuable data from their gadgets.
