In this paper, Current Injection Modeling of a novel FACTS Controller namely, Unified power flow controller is proposed and its incorporation into the conventional Newton Raphson load flow method is thoroughly projected for analyzing the impact of device on system parameters. Incorporation of FACTS devices employs a vital role in Optimal Power Flow problems, so a proposed Criss Cross Optimization Algorithm is implemented for single objective optimal power flow problems. The execution and feasibility of the proposed algorithm is analyzed on IEEE 30-bus power system. The obtained results which are detailed in literature show clearly the superiority of proposed algorithm over other already existing algorithms.
