This study employs duoethnography methodology to examine our scholarly and personal journeys in engaging with intersectionality. Namely, we, two Latino professors, explored how an intersectional lens can be applied to the study of Latino men in higher education. By focusing our efforts on Latinos, we expanded on theoretical and methodological understandings of historically marginalized populations. Our duoethnography describes:(a) our introduction to intersectionality,(b) research paradigms and worldviews for engaging with intersecting identities,(c) the mechanics for using an intersectional lens in research design and analysis, and (d) challenges in research when accounting for intersecting identities. We provide implications for operationalizing and mobilizing an intersectional lens in doing research with Latino men. This work is intended to aid critical and emancipatory scholars by utilizing an intersectional lens for theoretical and methodological purposes in educational research.(PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2023 APA, all rights reserved)
