This study has betn carried out along the North Cypriot coastS on May IOth_19'h 1997 and July 12rh· 21" 1998. As a result of the sampling in the short'region and in deepwater, iepths ranging from 0 to 600 m, 304 spedes, for a total number of 4786 individuals, included in the classes of Polyplacophora, Gastropoda. Bivalvia and Scaphopoda nave betn identified. Among the 304 taxa examined, 18 species from Cyprus Island are here reported for the first time.
