With the rise of the Metaverse, and its application in the medical department, proper resource allocation (example: surgical rooms, medical treatment services) becomes vital to reduce time and increase the efficiency with which medical procedures can be carried out. The Metaverse is a multi-user shared virtual space version of our current internet which utilises both virtual and augmented reality to create an immersive experience for the users. The Metaverse enables an avatar driven user interaction of multiple digital worlds. In our paper, we consider a strict preference ordering of multiple doctors over a fixed number of medical surgery rooms using the Metaverse as the platform to allocate these resources. Now, satisfying all doctors becomes difficult with random allocation as they will all desire their first preference. In our paper, we will tackle this problem with preference based allocation. Here we will study the structure of the algorithm and also show the result in comparison with random allocation. To our knowledge resource allocation based on strict preference has not been studied in the medical domain in a Metaverse environment before.
