University in South Africa, this article examines a new and potentially replicable model for
post-secondary education in developing countries. In this article, we particularly focus on
understanding the new model from two perspectives:(1) as an educational model and (2) as
a model for creating partnership with, and mobilizing resources from, the business sector.
