The present chapter examines moral and socio-psychological implications of the occupation
for the perceptions and the belief system of the occupying society, as well as on its moral
stature, in a period of global processes of social change affecting individual and societal
moral conceptions and behavior. This analysis is done through the presentation of the Israeli
