Single-step electrodeposition method was employed for the deposition of innovative,
nanostructured thin films of cadmium oxide at ambient temperature utilizing various solution
concentrations. Deposited films ware annealed at 400 o C operating temperature for 4

Abstract

Deposited films ware annealed at 400 o C operating temperature for 4 hours. The prepared cadmium oxide (CdO) thin films show cubic crystal structure. The morphological investigation shows porous and granular surface morphologies. The obtained maximum specific capacitance (SC) is 476.69 Fg-1 at a 5 mV/S scan rate for a 0.2 M electrode in a 1 M aqueous KOH electrolyte solution. Specific Energy is 3.86 Whkg-1, Specific power is 0.64 kWkg-1, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) analysis is carried out in the frequency range of 1 mHz to 1 MHz.
