Natural killer cells are of great importance for the natural cell induced cytotoxicity in man and
rodents. Sofar there is as yet no decisive evidence on the role of killer cells in protection
against primary tumors or spontaneous tumors, or against tumor induction through
cancerogenous virus, chemicals or radiation. Natural killer cells provide an important
contribution to immune monitoring.
