The vibrational modes in the optic band of a 2D lattice with varying degrees of force-constant
disorder have been investigated. States at the band edges are localized and other states are
prelocalized. The phase boundary marking the transition between such states has been
determined as a function of force-constant disorder and mode frequency. It has been
demonstrated that the prelocalized states are multifractal in nature.
