The following contribution will allow us to examine the relationship between the Olympic event and the Olympic cities, considering the transformation of the places, the different spatial representations of the Olympic territory will be analysed using the scheme created by Harvey (2002) and readapted by Dansero and Mela (2006) on the Olympic event. The next element will be the application of the concept of territorialisation advanced by Turco in 1988 for the analysis of the production of the Olympic territory. Considering the local project and thanks to the contributions of Magnaghi (2000) and Dematteis (2005), it will be possible to observe the different local development policies for the host territories. The contribution aims to analyse how planning models over time have impacted on the organisation, society and the subject territory. Therefore, in view of the Olympic urban development during the 20th century, consolidated urban strategies are observed (della Sala, 2022). The strategies adopted by different cities over time have been characterised as constituting long-term strategies capable of changing organisational and decision-making models, territorial dynamics and the perception of the host society.
