A simple and rapid microwave‐assisted extraction (MAE) procedure was developed and
optimized for the extraction of paclitaxel (Taxol®) from the needles of yew trees Taxus
baccata L. grown in Iranian habitats. The samples, immersed in a methanol‐water mixture,
