Room lighting is one of the most important factors for creating comfortable conditions to support smooth indoor activities. The problem in this research is the electric energy efficiency of the room lights. Therefore we need a system that can save the use of electrical energy. The design and operation efficiency of the generator room lighting in the Soekarno Hatta International Airport power station building based on the ESP 32 microcontroller was made to solve this problem. In its implementation, this tool works if the motion sensor (passive infrared sensor) detects human movement in the room, besides that remote control can also be done via a smart phone device. As a source of backup lighting, if the electricity from PLN goes out, there is an emergency lamp that is connected to a voltage sensor connected to the microcontroller. After the implementation of this prototype, the results of the estimated savings/efficiency resulting from the use of electrical energy are obtained, in which case the lamp is obtained by a difference of 50% in the period per day, month, and year.
