Abstract
West Lahei District consists of 11 villages with a recorded population of 11.643 in 2020. Currently, the provision of clean water for villages in West Lahei District is provided by PDAM Benao IKK Unit by using the Barito River as the source of raw water. Based on the existing conditions, PDAM Benao IKK Unit has met the water needs in 4 villages with a population of 4.890 people. Meanwhile, 7 other villages have not been served their clean water needs. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a clean water distribution network supply system for the next 10 years in West Lahei District for villages that have not served their clean water needs. The development is carried out in Jangkang Lama Village, Jangkang Baru Village and Luwe Hulu Village. In this research is carried out the analysis of water demand and availability, reservoir analysis, and distribution network to determine the capacity and capability of the current distribution network. In the analysis of distribution network using WaterCAD V8i program with control of pressure and headloss. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the total need for clean water in 2030 is 12.617 liters/second with a production capacity of water treatment plants (IPA) of 20 liters/second, which means that it is still able to meet the needs of the population until 2030. The distribution system is carried out by gravity. Then, from the simulation results using the WaterCAD V8i program, it can be concluded that alternative 3 using 150 mm diameter PVC pipe can be applied and meets the criteria.
