Abstract Wasmannia auropunctata Roger (Hymenoptera: Formicidae), little fire ant, is
recognized as a serious pest ant species that affects agriculture, homes, gardens, and
natural ecosystems in Hawaii, USA, and elsewhere. Anecdotal evidence suggests that
