Abstract Asparaginyl t-RNA Synthetase (AsnRS) of Brugiya malayi has been exploited as
target for lymphatic filariasis therapeutics. AsnRS is a member of the aminoacyl tRNA
synthetase (AARS) family, a set of structurally heterogenous enzymes, specific for each
amino acid. AsnRS hooks asparagine to tRNA, used during protein synthesis. AARS are
