Aim This study aimed to determine the association between PD-1.5 C/T (rs2227981,+ 7785)
and the risk of gastric cancer (GC) in an Iranian population. Background Gastric cancer is
the fourth most common cancer in the world. The programmed death 1 (PD-1) is a member
of the CD28 super family. PD-1 is a negative regulator of T-cell effector mechanisms which
decrease immune responses against cancer.
