Response function of the magnetic spectrometer PRISMA

D Montanari, E Farnea, S Leoni, G Pollarolo… - The European Physical …, 2011 - Springer
The response function of the magnetic spectrometer PRISMA is studied via a Monte Carlo
simulation that employs a ray tracing code to determine the trajectories of individual rays
through the electromagnetic fields. The calculated response is tested on angular and energy
distributions provided by theoretical calculations for the 48 Ca+ 64 Ni multinucleon transfer
reaction and applied to the corresponding experimental data.

Response function of the magnetic spectrometer PRISMA for the multinucleon transfer reaction

T Mijatović, S Szilner, L Corradi, S Courtin… - AIP Conference …, 2012 - pubs.aip.org
Multinucleon transfer reaction 40 Ar+ 208 Pb has been investigated with the PRISMA-
CLARA experimental setup in LNL, INFN, Italy. The experimental differential cross sections
have been obtained for different transfer channels by measuring more than Δθ lab= 20°
covered by three angular settings of PRISMA. Results have been compared with the
semiclassical calculation GRAZING. Since the understanding of the reaction mechanism
depends strongly on the determination of absolute cross section, effect of transport of ions …
