A novel Gram-stain-negative, rod-shaped and non-motile bacterial strain, designated strain
Seoho-37T, was isolated from a eutrophic lake in South Korea. Polyphasic studies were
performed to investigate the taxonomic position of the new isolate. The isolate grew
aerobically with 0–1.0%(w/v) NaCl (optimum 0%), at pH 6.0–10.0 (optimum pH 7.0–9.0) and
at temperatures of 15–36° C (optimum 25–30° C) on R2A medium. In the phylogenetic
