Diaspididae and Coccidae were the most common families, comprising 5 and 8 species,
respectively. The remaining families found comprised 1 species each. New records of
Coccoidea fauna from Syria were Parlatoria blanchardi, Phoenicococcus marlatti, Coccus
hesperidum, Coccus pseudomagnoliarum and Chionaspis etrusca.
