Abstract
Investigations on the seasonal incidence of jassid (Amrasca biguttula biguttula) and whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) populations on okra and their correlation with abiotic factors were carried out during kharif 1996 in the semi-arid region of Rajasthan, India. The infestation of jassids and whiteflies started in the fourth week of July and reached peaks in the second and fourth weeks of September, respectively. Correlation of these insect-pests with abiotic factors viz., minimum and maximum temperature, relative humidity and rainfall was also assessed. Maximum temperature was significantly correlated with whitefly density.
