Research in natural disasters based in historic data present a lack formed by the absence of
organized database comparable between Brazilian municipalities or states. In this sense the
present paper aims to present the systematization of natural disasters occurrences in South
Brazil developed by Nucleus of Application and Research of Geotechnologies in Natural
Disasters and Extreme Events–GEODESASTRES-SUL. This data organization is made from
the diary collect of information about flash floods, gradual floods, landslides, hails, storms …
