This work presents a new baseline for ASR trained on well-known Spanish databases. We
have experimented with acoustic models based on hybrid Deep Neural Networks and
Hidden Markov Model systems. These models have led to an improvement on the accuracy
compared with the conventional Gaussian Mixture Hidden Markov Models. Furthermore, the
hybrid models have shown to work well even with non task-specific language models.

Abstract
