In this study, the butchery of beef production and beef cattle and beef imports for the period covering the years 2010-2017 and their impact on consumption in Turkey was investigated. In this study using secondary data sources of the relevant period, 11 variables related to production and consumption were determined. These variables are; population, total number of cattle, number of slaughtered cattle, production of beef, consumption of beef per capita, number of fattening-butchered animals, livestock prices by breeds, beef producer and consumer prices, beef from per capita income and minimum wage consumption and fattening prices. Working in the 2010 base year (2010= 100 base year) by taking cattle by analyzing the changes that occur in meat production variables that affect the import of beef production in Turkey and its impact on consumption were investigated. In the study period, it was calculated that total beef production and import-adjusted beef production growth rate was higher than the general population growth rate. The process has different results in terms of producers and consumers, but despite the increase in beef consumption per capita in the import process in general, it is found that the share of beef consumption required for people in the low income group increases. As a result, it was concluded that the import application should be short-term in order to eliminate the negative effect of the import application on the producer and input supports should be put into use in the import process due to the high level of feed prices in the import process
