The purpose of this article is to discuss peer tutoring strategies as an effective class of peer-
mediated procedures for both classroom behavior management and direct instruction. In this
article, we discuss the need for alternative classroom procedures, review relevant research,
discuss recent advances in procedures, and identify implications.
