In the paper are described a state of research and trends of further investigations of an
atypical mixing equipment–mixing vessels with a reciprocating agitator (the vibromixers).
Against a background of a state of research are presented results of own investigations,
devoted to the measurements of a power input for vibro-mixing and the numerical CFD
simulations of the liquid flow in the vibromixer, obtained for selected disc position in the
vessel.
