The theme 'accessibility' should be considered as an indispensable requirement in public and private planning actions, taking into account that it reflects the care given to the local community, visitors and tourists. This article aims to identify how accessibility is understood and considered at the time of planning a trip and during the same, in the urban tourist context. We also correlate accessibility as a form of hospitality in tourist destinations. For this study, we considered the theoretical assumptions of the model of the Welcoming Collective Body and of the urban hospitality using Grinover (2006; 2013). Methodologically a questionnaire containing multiple choice questions was applied available via e-mail and Facebook. In this way, it is an exploratory research of qualitative character. The reflections indicate that most people when in travel usually choose places that are accessible and find important to have accessibility in public spaces that can be regarded as a form of hospitality. Some people consider accessibility as an obligation of the state and not as a form of hospitality.
