This report aims to achieve a definition of microplastics. RIVM provides building blocks to
support a discussion on this subject, as well as considerations for criteria and threshold
values. The intention is to start a European-wide discussion about the microplastics
discussion. To facilitate a quick and cost-effective screening of microplastics a decision
