The present investigation was carried out to study the effect of seeding dates (l, l4 and 28th
Dec.), plant density (200, 250, 300 plants m"), phosphorus levels (40, 60, 80 kg P ha") and
two methods of P placement (banding and broadcast). The results indicated that plant
density, seeding date, rate and method of phosphorus had a significant effect on most of the
