Due to the narrow absorption peak of Yb in glass at 975nm, a wavelength stabilisation is
necessary for pump laser diodes. Our original approach is to use a Distributed Feedback
broad area structure which is made possible since we use an Aluminium free active region
laser structure. The target is to obtain high optical power of 10W with both a reduce
wavelength evolution with temperature and a low spectral width. On a 3mm x 100 μm BA
